The benefits of a full day kindergarten experience at Kensington School are many! The Kensington School curriculum is built on the philosophy, history and experience of our past 50 years and centers around the belief that all children are able to reach their full potential with a strong foundation in core skills. Every Kensington child graduates with academic confidence that will grow with them throughout their educational experience.
Kensington School offers full day kindergarten at seven locations. Our kindergarten curriculum focuses on key learning areas essential to building a bridge from preschool to first grade and fostering the development of important neuropathways which build a solid base for continued learning.
A Kensington kindergartener receives instruction in Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and electives such as Music, Spanish and Yoga. Kensington kindergarteners enjoy supplemental activities including the Kensington Tinker Lab, musical performances, our unique Health and Wellness Curriculum with our registered nurses, Observational Drawing, Spring Spanish performances, and optional before/after school hours.
Our approach to this pivotal kindergarten year of learning and growth is culminated in a favorite Kensington school tradition – a cap and gown graduation! Our students proudly perform a musical program, encompassing all they have learned during their school year. We congratulate all 154 Kensington School kindergarten graduates, and we thank our fantastic teaching staff for making it happen!
